Well, I planned on continuing my little series of posts sooner than this. Instead, I'm sitting here in awe of Krazy Klinger. Why? Because she had to deal with kidney stones during pregnancy, when options for pain relief and surgery were so limited.
Why now? Because Tuesday night, what I initially thought was back strain quickly turned into what felt like horrible back labor (but without the breaks between contractions). Yes, I too have a kidney stone, too large to pass. Since I am not pregnant, they drugged me up at the hospital for about 8 hours until they could do the first surgery in a a two-surgery treatment to take care of this stone. I was so thankful for that pain medicine, and I just kept thinking of how awful it must have been for Krazy Klinger to go through all that pain without such relief. (Please know that I am so serious... I did both my childbirths without any pain meds, and yet I really needed it for this!)
I go for part two of the treatment next Friday. Until then, I have this uncomfortable stent inside me, but hey, it's still way better than the pain of an impassible stone! So Krazy Klinger... apparently I don't drink enough water! Hope you're feeling better now!

Yikes! You poor thing!
I'll be praying for you to recover quickly!
Having had a kidney infection, I can probably imagine about 10% of your pain, so I am definitely feeling for you now!
Oh, my wife occassionally gets kidney stones - and they are excrutiating! Hope you recover quickly.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. My sister had a kidney stone a few years ago, and I know she was really in pain. :(
May the Lord touch you and completely heal every part...body and soul.. AMEN!!
