Saturday 9: My Favorite Things
Saturday 9: My Favorite Things
Disclaimer: I have a lot of trouble coming up with accurate answers for questions about things like "favorites". It's not that I don't have preferences, but I think in terms of what I like a lot and don't, not which is my absolute favorite. I also have trouble articulating what I know about myself when given such questions. Therefore, many of these answers may be really off... I might be completely missing something that I actually like/do more than my answers.
1. What is your favorite thing to do alone? Sing real loud and passionately and/or dance.
2. What is your favorite thing to do with your best friend? For any of my closest friends, it would have to be to talk without the kids around, and/or work on a project together, whether it be cleaning/organizing, making cards/crafts or baking.
3. What is your favorite band? I don't really know. I'm pretty out of the loop when it comes to current music. There are several newer groups I really like, but I don't know enough about their music to say that they're my favorites. But up through the 90s I always liked Petra, Jars of Clay, Michale W. Smith and Watermark.
4. What is your favorite song? I can't possibly know, I have a lot of favorites. Here's one of them: Hiding Place - no particular version, but you may be most familiar with Selah's version
5. What is you favorite part of your job? The hugs and cuddles :)
6. What is your favorite TV show, on now? WordWorld... because it's my kids' favorite. When all else fails, it's my guaranteed half-hour break time! Seriously, I don't even watch TV... not out of religiousity, it's just not one of my habits.
7. What is your favorite TV show all time? The Brady Bunch... not because it's all that great, but it's just nostalgic for me, cause I watched every episode as a kid.
8. Who is your favorite actor? I don't pay any attention to actors personal lives, but for his film performances, I would have to say Robin Williams
9. What is your favorite film? Anne of Green Gables. But not because of all things girly or frilly. Rather it is because I relate to Anne on various levels.

Gotta love WordWorld! I didn't see or read Anne of Green Gables until I was an adult, surprisingly enough, and I enjoyed it enough that I went on to read a large number of L.M. Montgomery's books.
