1. Do you plan to be at the beach this summer? No
2. Do you have a favorite beach? I guess it would be Ocean City, NJ, but it's not a strong favorite. I like most any beach that's on a real ocean.
3. How old were you on your first beach trip? maybe 3-6 months, or 15-18 months. I don't really know. We lived in NJ until I was eight, and my memory is of going every summer, at least once but probably more.
4. Did your folks own or rent a cottage at the beach? No, but when I was in college, a friend's family rented a house for one month every summer. I had the privilege of joining them for several days in Ocean City, NJ twice and Rehoboth Beach, DE once. Great memories!
5. Have you or would you bring your kids to the same beaches you went to as a kid? I don't really know which real beaches we went to before I moved away from NJ when I was 8.
But I would like to take them, some day if possible, to a little part of the Lake Erie shoreline at the bottom of a cliff (accessible from the west by a steep winding trail). It was just across the road from where my grandparents lived until I was about 7. We would visit that beach during any warm weather visits to my grandparents' house, at least once we were old enough to hike. It would be fun to share that part of my heritage with my kids, but I think it's part of privately owned land now, so I don't know that we could do it.
6. What type of bathing suit do you wear at the beach? same kind I wear anywhere else... one with lots of coverage!
7. Do you have favorite food you like to eat at the shore? same as anywhere else: Ice Cream, except at the shore it's called Frozen Custard
8. Do you have a favorite drink you like at the shore? Fresh squeezed lemonade
9. When is the next time you will be beach bound? Hopefully next summer, but I don't really know.

Glad you are joining in - it's a fun meme, even though I didn't really have too much to say about the beach. My father-in-law is from Erie, so we have been up that way a couple of times.
